Located at the foot of Prince Street, Lobster on the Wharf is Charlottetown’s premiere seafood restaurant, supplying its own lobster, mussels, clams, and oysters from its adjacent seafood market. Come for a fine seafood lunch or dinner, as well as to order lobster and other shellfish to take home with you.
Don’t be dismayed if you are not a seafood lover. Lobster on the Wharf features a full menu, including chicken, steak, and pasta dish as well as a children’s menu. And, of course, it is fully licensed with a lounge area. We feature seating on the remnants of the old ferry wharf and surrounding decks as well as superb upstairs patio.
Lobster on the Wharf is built on the site of the old ferry wharf which connected Charlottetown with communities across the harbour and up the Hillsborough River for over a century. It was also the site of the Hillsborough Rowing Club, a two storey building.
So make room for a meal (or several meals) at Lobster on the Wharf during your time on the Prince Edward Island. Relax, enjoy the food and drink, and soak in the spectacular view of sunlight on the waves, seagulls and cormorants, great blue herons and sleek sailboats.
Open daily for lunch and dinner (dinner served from 11:30 on) from May 1st to the end of October. Reserve by calling us.
